Motel One – »Great design for little money«
Under the motto »Great design for little money«, Motel One hotels successfully combine the ethos of both the low budget and the design hotel trades. Eight new hotels are to be opened in Germany and Austria in 2011, so that by the end of the year the Motel One Group’s portfolio will include 39 hotels and around 8,300 rooms.
EMBASSY has been supportin Motel One in maintaining its leadership at the quality end of the low budget hotel sector since 2008 by updating the logo and developing a sub-branding system. One component of the brand identity is Motel One’s unmistakable headline font, which was designed by EMBASSY to be in harmony with the overall look. EMBASSY designed and introduced a systematic approach to the new façade labelling exhibiting the same high design standards applied to all Motel One projects.
EMBASSY was nominated for the Joseph Binder Award for designing the typeface of Motel One.
