Place Branding for the Eifel – Eifelbotschaft

In October 2013, EMBASSY has won the international pitch for creating a place brand for the Eifel in Germany. The aim of the project is to establish an umbrella brand for the region – with a focus on keeping a continuity of the two previously established brands for tourism and for local products.

At the ITB 2016, the world’s leading travel trade show in Berlin, the place brand for the Eifel has been launched.

 

The overall scope of the project comprises of the development of an umbrella brand, a new positioning, values and personality of the brand as well as the brand vision and mission that reflect the identity of the region and support the differentiation in the market. In November 2014, EMBASSY presented the new brand strategy at the Annual Eifel Conference and summarized it as brand book »EIFELbotschaft«.
